The idea behind the opening sequence is that you travel throughout the Netherlands and look at news from many perspectives. It shows current events but also personal news. The new design consists of straightforward icons and a delicious colorful 3D world for a warm cozy feeling. All together in front of the telly, annoy and marvel the small and big news from the Netherlands.
History of the newsshow Hart van Nederland (Heart of the Netherlands)
Since the start of SBS6 in 1995, Hart van Nederland is their main program with news from Dutch soil. Hart van Nederland is for and about the ordinary Dutchman. In 1996 'Shownieuws' is added to the Hart van Nederland news section, back then presented by Albert Verlinde. In 2003 Shownieuws becomes a separate program on its own. Because SBS6 brand-design and the sets of the two programs show a lot familiarity it feels like home to the viewer, as if it is one program.
With a turnaround in 2012 the focus converts on a younger audience and a more serious approach. And Hart van Nederland and Shownieuws are being pulled apart. However, this is not the right approach and viewers feel less comfortable with these important components within the progam range of SBS6.
Back to the good old times
With this new program design SBS6 grabs back to the good times. Warm, cozy and welcoming. And the new design again fits perfectly within the look and feel of the channel itself.
The competition is fierce and with Hart van Nederland and Shownieuws SBS6 created a strong program versus for example RTL4. The programs run nicely into each other and are recorded at the same studio.
With one push of a button, the daily video content can be adapted and rendered in a 3D environment. By making use of multi-pass renders (including specular reflection and layers) and exported 3D cameras in the compositing. Ideal for a surroundig in which deadlines, urgency and flexibility to the last moment is most important.
