From 2010 until 2013 Terralemon created the campaigns and motion graphics for the Amsterdam Dance Event. This visual campaign is a great example for us on how to combine a clean premise with a strong visual language and a smooth integration of motion, print, online and social media.
The ideas for the campaign are based on connectivity. ADE connects DJ's, VJ's and the audience. Music in general links people together, with the musicians and is the fundament for parties, conversations, dance and sharing the same (dream) world.
The yellow lines in the visuals and the overwhelming beautiful portraits have been molded together into intriguing imagery. In the films, we've been searching for a fascinating graphical environment in which we can tell the ADE story as well. Audio is greatly powering the animation.
The campaign has been projected on the huge screens on the Ziggo dome, the Rembrandtplein, Schiphol, the Overhoekse Toren en throughout Amsterdam with it's conference center 'Felix Meritis' as the central square for the best DJ's on the planet.
Dance music has grown into a worldwide industry finding it's roots for a great part in Holland. The Amsterdam Dance Event is the largest festival for dance music. It hosts 1.700 artists on 75 location in Amsterdam. The best DJ's in the world are gathering for the festival, the conference and Playgrounds.
In 2012 and 2011, the basic idea for the campaign was "light". The beautiful portraits of Krijn Noordwijk form the source with which we made a series of strongly recognizable weird idents. 3D ADE logo put this year's DJ's in the spotlight.
In addition, we created the clips in 2012 for a complete VJkit for all clubs.
The ADE or Amsterdam Dance Event is the biggest club festival for electronic music with more than 1,700 DJs / artists in the 75 best clubs in Amsterdam.
